HISTORY OF GOOD TIDINGS BIBLE CHURCH INTERNATIONAL (GTBCI)
Good Tidings Bible Church International (GTBCI) is a divinely assigned vision given by God to His son and servant Pastor Dayo Olutayo. The vision took off on Thursday 4th November, 2004 in a rented church auditorium at Rajab Plaza, Area 1 Garki, Abuja, Nigeria, with an attendance of 600+ people in attendance during the first service, has as her mandate, “connecting men to God, people to purpose and purpose to power.”
In realization of this divine calling, Pastor Dayo Olutayo has not wavered in close to two (2) decades of the existence of Good Tidings Bible Church International to provide sterling leadership to Good Tidings members, and to a large extent, the Christendom.
Indeed, everyone that has full heartedly identified with the ministry has quality testimonies with evidences, that God is at work in GTBCI. There is particular prayer for every first time worshipper, that “You will never leave the city with your head bowed in shame”.
The humility and good disposition of Pastor Dayo Olutayo has endeared him to many as every service of the church is always remarkable with testimonies to show. Church activities have till date maintained a heightening tempo which resounds throughout the city of Abuja and beyond. Programmes that are soul enriching and empowering to members have been introduced over the years.
Good Tidings Bible Church International has grown over the years to the establishment of a magnificent church edifice located in Utako, Abuja which is known as Kingdom Centre.
The educational arm of the ministry called Lifegate Academy and Lifegate International College have been established in Abuja and Ilorin respectively with provision for nursery, primary and secondary studies.
Mighty Warriors’ Bible College (MWBC) which is the bible school arm of the church has also been established with trainings for ministers of God, Bible courses for spiritual development and vocational studies. Good Tidings Bible Church International currently has branches across the nation
Pastor Dayo Olutayo
Dayo Olutayo is the Leading Pastor of Good Tidings Bible Church International (GTBCI). He is distinctively known for his calm nature, strong passion for God and an infectious zeal for the Kingdom of God. He is clearly a living testimony of God’s favour which has become the hallmark of his life and ministry. God called him to raise an army of future leaders the specific mandate being “connecting people to God, people to purpose and purpose to power”. An additional assignment that God has given him is to prepare souls for eternity with God.
Dayo is an epitome of meekness and deep compassion for people imparting lives positively through scholarship grants, skills acquisition, economic empowerment and community based initiatives. He is currently a recipient of multiple honorary doctorate degrees from some citadels of learning. He has obtained an award for excellence in leadership and mentoring from the prestigious Christian Leadership University. He also has the ambassador for peace award for Global Peace Festival Foundation. He was recently invited to Kensington Palace, England to receive the prestigious African Award for Social Impact. He continues to teach the undiluted principles of God’s Kingdom with testimonies of God’s grace, changing lives and setting the captives free.
